Pool Party: Special thanks to our hosts, Lindy and Rick Worrall and Phyllis Holley for the Corned Beef and Cabbage and to Ann Spang for the Sloppy Joes and Buns. What a great turnout: 55 people showed up for this Irish tradition, with very special drinks made by Joe and Jen Bavender.

The weather was beautiful for the Pool Party at Longboat Village.
Of course, we cannot forget to thank CeCe Loper who keeps everyone informed about these events and who coordinates what food people are bringing.

Lots of guests sported green clothing for Longboat’s Corned Beef and Cabbage feast.
Tree Missing: Due to water flow issues at 4656 S. Landings (Steve and Judy Davison’s home), a tree was removed, and stump grinding removed the base. As a heads up to everyone, as these trees mature and press on our water pipes and sewer drains, we can expect additional removals. Please let our Board or Management Company know if you are experiencing problems. As a reminder to our snowbirds, always be sure to secure your water heater and water to your home when you leave for the summer.
Congratulations: To Nastasha Benchimol for accepting a position on the Bridge for the Landings Yacht Club (Assistant Fleet Captain). We are all thrilled to have you on board and know that one day you will make a great Commodore. And, of course, thank you to Alan Power, our retiring LYC Commodore.
New Residents/Renters: Stephen Adkins and Sandra Essex have leased 4661 S. Landings from January to April. Thomas and Melanie Stone bought 4631 S. Landings and leased it for a year to Demery Smith and Anne Super. Scott and Lauretta Dustin have moved from Longboat Village (4666 S. Landings) and over to Riverside. We wish them both the best. Long time resident Phyllis Holley (4611 S. Landings) sold her home to Doug and Judi Pelton and moved into Scott and Laurette’s vacancy. Welcome to all our new residents. Please come to our pool parties and meet your village neighbors.
Time to go: It has been quiet here the last few weeks, and now we are at the end of season in Fort Myers. So, on that note, this will be my last article for Longboat Village. It has been my pleasure to write these articles over the last couple of years. I would like to thank everyone that made a contribution. If anyone is interested in taking over the Longboat Village articles, please reach out and I can turn over the reins.
