Once again, the Landings Veterans Association is proud to partner with the Landings Yacht Club in sponsoring the annual Veterans Day Commemoration. The ceremony will take place at the flagpole located at the south end of Picnic Pointe.
As in previous years, the program will feature an inspiring invocation by a military chaplain, remarks from a distinguished guest speaker, patriotic and military musical selections, and the traditional wreath-laying ceremony. The event will also include the impressive Cypress Lake Junior ROTC Color Guard.
All Landings residents and their guests are warmly invited to attend this meaningful observance as we honor the service and sacrifices of our nation’s veterans.
Veterans are encouraged, but not required, to wear a blue blazer and khaki trousers, along with service insignia, medals, and a service-related cap.
Veterans are invited to be seated in the designated area in front of McCoy Pavilion, where service flags will be displayed by branch affiliation. At the conclusion of the program, veterans who are able and willing are invited to participate in an informal parade from the seating area to the flagpole. This tradition provides an opportunity for Landings residents to recognize and express their appreciation for the sacrifices made by these veterans and all who have served our country.
The ceremony will begin promptly at 12:00 PM on November 11, and guests are asked to assemble by 11:45 AM.
