Ariel is nearing the end of the improvement projects that have been undertaken over the last several years. Some were the result of damage due to Hurricane Ian and others were scheduled for aesthetic reasons.
One of the most noticeable projects is painting of the building, inside and out. This project began several months ago and is progressing apace. Painters work on scaffolding to reach the top of the 18-story building. Since the 135 condominium units in the building are placed around an atrium, painters work on scaffolding inside as well. If the weather cooperates, the painting will be completed by the time most seasonal residents return in the late fall.
The series of Ariel Summer Dinners at Wheelhouse Grille continued in July and August, with the final dinner scheduled for Thursday, September 24. For several years, the residents at Ariel have gathered for dinner at the Wheelhouse, both to spend time with their neighbors and to support the restaurant during the summer when so many Landings owners are elsewhere. The events are always well attended, and the gatherings benefit both the participants from Ariel and the staff at the restaurant.
Families are encouraged to use the community facilities at Ariel. Rick Brown utilized one of the pool tables in the Game Room at Ariel to teach his granddaughter Abby Jones how to shoot pool. Two pool tables, a ping pong table, four vintage video games including Ms. Pacman, and Wii games are available for owners to use.
The Game Room is just one of the common rooms on the Plaza Level (second floor) at Ariel. That floor also is the site of a Fitness facility, Card/Library Room, Taeping Room, a large room utilized for special events, Men’s and Women’s Locker Rooms, and four guest rooms that are available for owners’ guests at a very modest charge. Ariel residents are lucky to have access to so many amenities right on site.
