On a beautiful day at The Landings recently, three generations of male members of the Camper clan decided to play golf on the well-maintained course here. The patriarch, Rick Camper, has lived at Trawler Village since 2019.
His son Ben, and grandsons, Caden, 8, and Bryce, 4, were visiting from Hermosa Beach, Calif. Both the youngsters play very well for their ages, with a degree of calm that would benefit many golfers who’ve played the game for years.
Caden hit a terrific drive that traveled well down the fairway. Not to be outdone, Bryce sank a center-cut 4-foot putt that was hit with authority. Many adults would do well to play with the same level of abandon that these two youngsters displayed.
The best gift for the four of them is that they all enjoyed spending a wonderful afternoon together playing a great game. Everyone hopes they will return soon to The Landings.
