Both Carleen Burchett (left) and Peg Gifford scored a Hole in One on April 17.

First and foremost, I must begin this article reporting two Hole in Ones on the same day, Friday, April 17 during 9-hole play. Carleen Burchett had her hole in one on #3 and Peg Gifford had hers on #14. Has that ever happened in any league? Congratulations to both players. That day we were playing a Shamble, where everyone plays the best ball by a team member. The winning team on the front nine was Linda Sharron, Debra Bates, Lynda Schmitt and Mary Rea. On the back, first place went to Sue Lentz, Peg Gifford and Bridget Hampson. Closest to the pin winners were Linda Sharron on #1 and Sue Lentz on hole #11.

On Friday morning, April 3, we were dressed in purple to celebrate Kathy Petrone, a dearly loved member of this league. We played a scramble with one drive per player. Four closest to the pin awards were given out in honor of Kathy. Golfers closest to the pin were Norma Simmons on #1, Joanne Russell on #7, Dee Bellar on #11 and Mary Lou Longworth on #16. First place winners on the front were Denise McNamara, Martha Kohnke, Cathleen Webb and Eileen Hurley. Back nine winning team members were Peggy Thompson, Bonnie Fritch and Mary Lou Longworth.

Liz Welsh, Liz Marini, Donna Hendricks and Karen Bremenstul gather for the luncheon.

We hosted the 18 Hole League on Friday April 10 for 9 holes of golf with us. We followed up with a delicious lunch and fellowship. The front 9 winning team were K.C. Shelton, Cathy Goeckel, Kay Owen, Lori Stegeman, and Sharon Buckley. The back 9 first place winners were Linda Sharron, Deborah Daly, Peg Gifford, Diana Rohner and Leela Dandekar.

Mary Story, Debra Bates, Michelle Wolfson, Norma Simmons and Mary Ann Spry celebrate playing a great round together.

Closest to the pin winners were Lynda Redmon on #1, Linda Moline on #11 and Closest to the Flamingo was Cookie Smith on the front and Diana Rohner on the back. You read that right, flamingo!
