What an incredible year for The Landings! This year Landings residents raised $87,833 for United Way Lee, Hendry, and Glades counties, surpassing the $70,000 goal.
This remarkable achievement reflects the heart of our residents and the compassion that extends far beyond our gates. Contributions strengthen essential programs that provide food, housing, education, and stability for families, seniors, veterans, and individuals in our community.
Every year, our campaign shows the giving spirit of The Landings. Our neighbors care deeply about others and step up when it matters most. We are proud, grateful, and inspired by their commitment to meaningful impact.
We celebrate because of the generous residents who not only care, but act. Our community’s belief in the mission of United Way truly changes lives, and we are deeply grateful for the trust placed in this work.
Any Landings resident who is inspired and would like to get more involved, is invited to consider joining our dedicated United Way Campaign Committee. We would welcome new members who want to help shape next year’s success. To learn more about becoming part of the committee, please reach out to any current member.
Members of the United Way Landings Campaign Committee are campaign chairs Mike and Donna Stryker – Riverside; Gary Bryant – Sunset Cove; Scot Elrod – Schooner; Barbara Hartman – Trawler; Linda Logio – Riverside; Holly Messinger – Ariel; and Jerry Poissant – Steamboat Bend East.
A special thank you was extended to Michele and John Shepherd from Schooner for their many years of contributions to the committee.
As Coretta Scott King said, “The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.”
