How lucky we are to live at The Landings!
We get to hear our talented residents, many of them professional singers and musicians, perform for us throughout the year. The theme for this year’s Landings Spring Chorus was “Music of America” and included a sampling of the diversity of American music.
Featured were Broadway classics by Rodgers and Hammerstein, jazz from Smokey Joe’s Café, a medley of Neil Diamond hits, and The Trolley Song made famous by Judy Garland in the movie “Meet Me in St. Louis.” A beautiful rendition of “Shenandoah” by Charlie McCoy and a solo by Lonza Bartlett, lead singer with the Platters Legends, were among the highlights. We’re lucky indeed to live here!
